Placebo Effect - a positive effect on the mind or body
as a result of one's beliefs, a harmless pill, medicine,
or procedure prescribed more for the psychological benefit
to the patient than for any physiological effect.
Nocebo Effect- a negative effect on the mind or body as a result
of one's beliefs, a detrimental effect on health is produced by
psychological or psychosomatic factors, such as negative
expectations of treatment or prognosis.
Diagnosis- the identification of the nature of an illness or other problem
by examination of the symptoms. "Early diagnosis and treatment
are essential. "A diagnosis of Crohn's disease was made.
Prognosis- the likely course of a disease or ailment.
"The disease has a poor prognosis".
